Waiting on Wednesday: Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

waiting on wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is the popular meme to highlight upcoming releases that we are excited about. It was created and is run at the Breaking the Spine.

I haven’t done this meme in a while but I figured I would spotlight one of the books that I saw so many people being excited for at BEA this year.

Expected publication: September 29th 2015 by Henry Holt and Company

Game of Thrones meets Ocean’s Eleven in this brand-new book in the world of the Grisha by New York Times-bestselling author Leigh Bardugo.

Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can’t pull it off alone…

A convict with a thirst for revenge.

A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager.

A runaway with a privileged past.

A spy known as the Wraith.

A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums.

A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.

Six dangerous outcasts. One impossible heist. Kaz’s crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction—if they don’t kill each other first.

It sounds quite good, and given that I haven’t read any of Leigh’s books yet, I’m all about starting out with a new series.

Are you excited for this book too?

Did you like her other books? I’m wondering if I should be okay starting this one without having read the other series or not.

  • Yvonne says:

Okay, who’s NOT excited for this book? The Grisha series by Leigh Bardugo was freaking amazing and I loved it so, so much! This one? It can only be good as well! I’m so looking forward to it! Great pick! 😀

The funny thing is, I hadn’t exactly heard of it until all the BEA buzz about it. Now I can’t stop hearing about it.
