Meme: Top Ten Tuesday (1)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Broke and Bookish

This week’s Top Ten is: Top Ten Characters I Would Crush On If I Were Also A Fictional Character. I have listed them in no particular order.

  1. Kaidan from Mass Effect: Okay, I’m kind of cheating here. I know that Mass Effect is not a book, but he is still a fictional character. I fell in love with him as my female Shepherd fell in love with him. In fact, my main character never cheated on him during Mass Effect 2. He has a dark past but seems willing to move forward and isn’t too worried about falling in love with his boss. Love trumps all right?
  2. Alister from Dragon Age: Origins: I think there is something to be said about the emotional connection I have with BioWare’s RPG characters. I think that when you get to decide how a relationship proceeds, you can’t help but get more emotionally involved in it than you might in a book. That could be an entire post in and of itself, but Alister is perhaps one of my dream men. Funny, handsome, and fit, he is also extraordinarily shy about romance, which perhaps makes me excited to make him blush.
  3. Neville from Harry Potter: Okay, so Harry Potter is pretty good looking. But why go for the one that everyone else is already fawning over? Perhaps I am totally thinking of the movie actor instead of how I had imagined him while reading the books, but Neville is awesome. He also has that shy thing that Alister (and Kaidan) have that apparently is a theme with me. Hmm…
  4. Peeta from The Hunger Games: I was totally ‘Team Peeta’ (okay you can shoot me). But he has such a golden heart. You can’t help but root for him.
  5. Tyrion from A Song of Ice and Fire: Well, okay. I could also have listed Jon Snow (*long sigh”) or Rob Stark (*swoon*) but I think they already get a lot of attention. Tyrion is just so witty, and while he can be a cold-hearted realist, he is also very sensitive. To me, he exudes masculinity.
  6. Jamie Fraser from Outlander: He makes me want to find a highlander. Kilt-wearing, swearing, and drinking broad Scotsman, he is all man. Perhaps he can be a bit too dominant, but something about him would make me a-okay with letting him protect me.
  7. Atticus O’Sullivan from the Iron Druid series: He is a 1,000 year old Irish druid who even his goddesses want a night with. If that’s not a high recommendation, I don’t know what is.
  8. Kaidan Rowe from Sweet Evil: He is the son of the demon of lust. While that makes him perhaps quite a bit manipulative, he could easily be that guy you have a whirlwind summer with and then crash and burn.
  9. Four from Divergent: I think I liked him a bit more Divergent than in Insurgent, but he is still pretty cool. Brave, but not as needlessly reckless as his comrades, he is heroic. He’s the boy that looks like he’s cruel or strange but is actually quite nice and considerate.
  10. Eric Northman from the Southern Vampire series: Or in True Blood. In both mediums I love Eric. He’s a little like the last two where he is evil, manipulative, and yet…you just can’t help but root for him. And wish that he’d be so inclined as to not drain you but instead show what a 1,000 year old Viking vampire knows.

Do you agree or disagree? Let me know!

What do you think?
